My husband was a patient on Ward 4 twice in November 2017 and once in December 2017, requiring surgery and other treatment related to a brain tumour. We've been really thankful for and impressed by the skill of the surgeon but also with the lovely nursing and support staff. We felt the atmosphere on the ward was warm and welcoming from the very first day, and that feeling of being welcomed has never left us.This was so important, not least because of the awful shock of the diagnosis. We found individual staff members to be really professional, but also so approachable and caring; they showed genuine interest in my husband's situation, and were friendly and welcoming to me.
In such a tough situation, this is the type of ward and staff you dream of.
We are very thankful for the care everyone on the ward has given, and they have genuinely helped make a difficult situation more bearable.
In our experience, their great approach to care hasn't wavered, no matter how busy they've been, and we just wanted to say that you all so deserve a big thank you!
