"Asthma attack"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Having suffered with asthma my whole life I go into Medway maritime hospital having an asthma attack with a chest infection struggling to breathe finding it extremely hard to breathe and was just left.

I had to wait 2 hours for a doctor who then was very rude and arrogant stating it was due to my infection not being able to breathe but I know my condition and know that I was having an attack!

The staff just dismissed me and did nothing. I asked to go on a nebuliser because I knew that would help me but even then they refused. I’m disgusted with the way I was treated and will be making a formal complaint. I will never recommend this awful service to anyone they seem to care more about the drunk people than a person struggling to breathe which could have been fatal! I just can’t believe how bad the doctor spoke to me and how I was treated this is wrong on so many levels.
