I am a former NHS nurse. I believe that some NHS staff have been turned into monsters by years of bullying by managers. Further no support is given to staff who are assaulted or abused by patients.
All of the caring staff seem to have been driven out of the NHS. Whistle blowers on poor care may as well commit suicide going by what has happened to those who have tried it. You cannot expect humanity from those who have been dehumanized by their own treatment at the hands of successive governments. You have to be snake to survive in the snake pit. I have written dozens of letters on this problem over the past 20 years and got nowhere.
