"Everyone was lovely except one nurse"

About: Princess Alexandra Hospital / Maternity

I was induced a week early in may 2015 for chronic back pain from a historic car accident. I was induced for 4 days before I finally ended up with an emergency csection on 7th may.

All the staff on the labour ward were amazing. There was no pressure to breastfeed dispute horror stories I had heard. Everything was perfect. All of the people in theatre introduced themselves and made me feel at ease in a rather scary situation. Everyone was lovely until I went onto labour ward, 1 nurse was absolutely horrid. Really ubrupt, rude, unfriendly. Refused to give me oramorph or anything stronger than paracetomol and left me in agony until the next shift started and the nurse gave me adequate pain relief. Other than that I really liked all the staff and facilities. Food was rank but that's to be expected in hospital!
