(as a relative),

My husband had to go to A &E at Good Hope on Boxing Day night. It was absolutely heaving with people since there were few beds available and many people on trolleys. I just wanted to compliment the staff on their patience, in the face of a difficult night. I don't know if the pressure that night is usual or not, but anyway, well done. Everyone who dealt with us was unhurried, competent, and explained what they were doing, which is what you need.

Please accept my apologies for the delay in responding to your posting.

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding the care and treatment your husband received in the A&E Department at Good Hope Hospital.

The A&E Department does tend to be extremely busy most of the time, even more so during the festive period.

I am pleased that although the department was busy, that the staff explained everything to your husband and that he had a good patient experience.

I will forward your posting to the senior management for A&E and asked that it is shared with the staff, as I am sure they will be delighted to read your positive comments.
