"They saved my mums life"

About: Sheffield City GP HC (Wic)

Brought my mum in with stomach pain and to most people due to her presenting symptoms and her age this would have been a water infection. Due to the caring consideration , vigilance and experience of the nursing staff, my mum was sent to surgical admissions. It seemed a bit extreme at the time, but whilst at the hospital her condition rapidly deteriorated. She had surgery the next morning for a complex hernia. Yes we had to wait both at walk in and the hospital. But what is wrong in that? Next time you have to wait it could be because someone is actually more ill than you. If the staff here hadnt given her the time she needed, she wouldnt be here. Quite simple. Be a patient patient. Next time it could be you who needs the time

Thank you for taking the time to leave feedback regarding your recent experience at the Sheffield NHS Walk in Centre. I do hope that your mum is recovering well after her surgery and i will pass your kind words and comments to the team.
