"Absolutely disgusted. Terrible hospital in need..."

About: Manor Hospital / Accident and emergency

Today i took my dad in to A&E to save an ambulance cost. We arrived and was taken straight in due to breathing difficulties. He was left in a corridor for around 1 hour on full show to everyone. He was then taken to triage to be assessed. He was moved to a room with no bed.still struggling to breathe he was offerred a bed 2 hours later. A nurse decided a canular was needed and as she inserted it,no gloved were worn and there was blood dripping and squirting everywhere. I then had to point out the floor was covered in blood. Several doctors and nurses came in asking the same questions over and over again. The communication is very poor here and it is the most unorgansised place i have ever been to. He was then taken for a chest x ray and after bloods etc were taken was discharged around 5 hours later. No medicine was given and a bit of oxygen later they decide he was fit to go home! They perscribed several tablets some of which were antibiotics. I felt a bit aprehensive about him going home (as he lives alone) but i thought the doc knows best! Half way down the corridor my dad looses his breath and nearly passes out,so i run back for the doctor who has just dicharged him and as he puffs as though my dad isnt ill, tells me to go and get his perscription from the pharmacy and he will wait with him. So i go to the pharmacy they ask if he has any allergies. I said yes penicillin... she then comes back and tells me this doctor has perscribed an antibiotic with penicillin in it..... i rushed back to put this doctor straight and he had left my dad in the waiting room on his own. I then go back a &e and demand to speak to the matron as not only is my dad struggling to breath these tablets if we wernt asked by the pharmacy would have killed my dad!!! It turns out not once was my dad told what tablets were being given to him or was he asked if he waa any allergies.

The cubicles are absolutely disgusting, rubish everywhere the toilets are not clean and sanitised, there is no privacy, the same questions are asked by diffrent people no body knows whats going on and people are litterally in top of eachother. My dad is now still (12 hours later) currently in the waiting area to be sent to a ward. I have seen head injuries that have not been dressed, one man i spoke to had a stroke and he has been left for 3 hours without treatment. Not one person offerred my dad a drink or something to eat i had to leave the hospital and come back with food for him. This place needs a serious checking. It is dreadful that something so easy to check could of placed my dad in an even more serious place. After recieving a 2nd opinion on my dads condition the doctors waa not happy to send him home as his oxygen levels were too low. I will think twice about taking my dad to the manor hospital again once he is better. Absolutely shocked to the core with what i have seen today.
