"Stafford Suite team - superb"

I recently underwent a revisionary discectonomy operation and was admitted onto the Stafford Suite,

All I can say is that the whole team; nursing, housekeeping, catering, physio, OT delivered above and beyond expectations when they are clearly stretched.

My surgeon, a very diligent, conscientious and hard working professional, explained the surgery from start to finish including the prognosis and outcomes. I felt very assured and relaxed and was, in a strange manner, looking forward to undergoing surgery.

Upon admission, the reception staff were exceptionally pridessiknL, friendly and efficient and their smiling faces instantly relaxes one as surgerybwas literally an hour and a half later.

They certainly rose to the challenge of continuous refurbishment works to the reception and co silting suite waiting rooms and not having the main entrance available in wintry and icy conditions does seem nonsensical with having to walk through a make shift, tatty, side entrance into the restaurant.

All staff on Stafford Suite, day and night, friendly and made you feel at home - clearly hard-working under seemingly stretched and strained conditions. I can't thank them enough as they never complained and remained professional throughout,

Upon leaving, discharge was explained fully and this made for a smooth transition to hone and to continue the medication protocol.

Sadly, I did request to speak with a member of the management to relay praise for how the whole team were tremendous throughout my admission and after five hours of waiting, it was time for me to go home. I do hope that the staff are recognised for the work they do,

Certainly would recommend the hospital and also a big thanks to the Neuroscience consultant who really has changed my life and is bringing me back to perfect posture, walking and the ability to carry on in my professional life working in a job I am passionate about.

Finally, I must not forget to mention the catering team in the restaurant/cafe who supported a very pleasant admission for the duration of my stay.

Thank you for your feedback, we are delighted to hear that our staff have made your stay in the hospital such a pleasurable one.

Please be assured that we will pass on your compliments to all the staff involved in your stay and in particular those who work on the Stafford Suite.

We understand our make-shift entrance is not ideal but it is, unfortunately, necessary whilst the building works are taking place.

The building works consist of the addition of a new MRI scanner, some specialised orthopaedic clinic rooms and a brand new, more modern, entrance.

We would like to apologise that none of the senior management was able available to meet with you prior to your departure but please be assured that your comments have been passed on to them.
