"The consultant gave me hope"

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital / General surgery Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Pain Management Chesterfield Royal Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I had keyhole surgery on my left foot, as I already have screws in both of my feet, I had an operation on both my feet at Sheffield childrens hospital, I had a bone taken out of my right hip that was put into both feet at the age of 11. which meant I could walk properly like everyone else.

When I reached 26 I started losing my balance I would trip and fall for no reason, had two boys in my thirties one is 16 now and the other is 13. not forgetting my beautiful black/white Staffordshire bull terrier shes my whole world. I've worked all my life, for the past 15 years I was a fulltime mother so I placed my career on the line so bringing up 2 lively boys and struggling with my health was hard work especially as I was a single parent.

I am now 49 engaged to a lovely man my lads adore him and the dog. All my life I have suffered pain in my feet, crippling pain I take antidepressants, different pain killers which I have to live on for the rest of my life until now, my consultant Dr  Morris who did my operation in November 2017 as given me hope. I stayed in hospital overnight on ELMTON WARD the nurses, doctors, and all the staff were wonderful at CALOW ROYAL HOSPITAL.
