I came into treatment and I felt close to dying and this was due to painkiller addiction, I tried to come off them myself but quickly realised that I needed professional help, I called the service very early on a Monday morning and hoped that there would be someone to talk to and thankfully there was.
Within days of contacting the service I had a key worker and was put on to substitute prescribing, I felt as if the service has saved my life.
My key worker was brilliant and without the support of the service I probably would not be here now.
