"My treatment and admission."

About: DHU Healthcare CIC / NHS 111 Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - City Campus / Respiratory medicine Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust - Queen's Medical Centre Campus / Respiratory medicine

(as the patient),

I already have pulmonary fibrosis and stage 3 heart failure. I recently started to struggle to breathe and was finding it difficult to string more than a couple of words together. My relative called 111 and a paramedic was sent straight away, we had no problems with the 111 service, After staying with me and sending for an ambulance the paramedic then accompanied us in the ambulance to A+E. I had also been violently sick at home and was sick again in A+E, I was treated very quickly in A+E and was sent to A.R.C.U. where I had the worst diahorrea all that night and all the next day, I cannot thank the nurses who cared for me enough, They treated me with compassion and kindness and although it was embarrassing for me they never did anything but ease my mind. So once again a huge thank you to each and everyone concerned. I was then transferred to Southwell Ward at the City Hospital where I stayed for several days and again had excellent treatment from ALL the staff here
