"A&E on Christmas Eve"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Emergency Medicine

(as a service user),

I injured my wrist right before Christmas so after calling NHS24 I was advised to go to A& E on the morning of Christmas Eve. In pain and really not looking forward to a long wait in a busy waiting room, I made my way to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. However, the whole process was well organised and I was seen within an hour. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and I received an x-ray and given treatment there and then. I'm so grateful for the NHS and how they are always there when you need them, no matter what time of year. Thank you for a positive, although painful experience using the emergency services!

Hi Christmas Wrist

Thank you so much for telling us your story and I do hope you are recovering from your wrist injury. It’s great to hear that you were treated efficiently by all the services that were involved in your care. Having to attend hospital for any reason can be a worry but especially at this time of year when there is so much to get done. I will share your story within the teams, it's so positive for the staff to know they have made a difference, thank you for taking the time to feedback.

Best wishes

Kerry
