"Thank You for your kindness to my mother"

My mother died after a week on C1 ward .

She was 85 years old and sufferring with late stage dementia and pneumonia .

I would like to express my sincere thanks and those of my two brothers for the wonderful care shown by staff at A@E , admission wards and

C1 during my mother's week long stay at Russells Hall. We were involved in all stages and decisions, and also listened to and our mum was allowed to peacefully drift away with kind support and dignity.

I am a nurse myself in Sandwell, and can't imagine any way that the experience of our mum dying in hospital could have been improved . Thank you all from the excellent student nurse, support staff, nurses and medics
