My daughter (2) had an appointment today at the outpatient clinic to see the orthoptist. We were given a warm & friendly welcome from the reception staff & were directed to where we needed to be, which was very clearly signed and easy to find.
We only had to wait a few minutes in the yellow area waiting room before we were called through, much to the disappointment of my daughter as she wanted to play with the variety of toys and activities available!
The orthoptist was brilliant, immediately stuck up a rapport with my daughter & had her engaging from the off. Even though my daughter wasn’t keen on wearing an eye patch for her test, the orthoptist didn’t make a fuss about it and quickly had my daughter engaging in other tests, whilst including my husband and I too.
An experience that my daughter wasn’t looking forward to initially, ended with her leaving the hospital with a big grin, a sticker and 3 brand new books from the nursing team.
Well done RACH, I couldn’t be any happier with the service you provided for us today. Many thanks to all the team involved.
