About: The Essex Cardiothoracic Centre

Having been diagnosed with lung cancer in July 2017, at Southend hospital. I was referred to the Basildon cardiac and thoracic unit with a view to surgery.

The treatment I received from the surgeon to the tea lady was exceptional, nothing seemed to much trouble for anyone.

Due to the skill and care of everyone in this department I was treated, the tumour was removed and I am now recovering.My wife and I would like to thank everyone who took care of me from the bottom of our hearts.

Fantastic treatment.
