In a time when people seem all too ready to complain about our NHS and hospitals, I would like to offer my thanks to all at the Torbay Hospital that have ‘dealt’ with me over the past year.
There have been a few reasons why I have had to attend, including both CT and MRI scans, over the past months and I have found the service given to me to have been 100% efficient and friendly throughout.
My visits culminated (hopefully) this week with a visit to the Endoscopy Unit in the Hetherington block for a Flexible Sigmoidoscopy. Naturally I was full of anxiety and intrepidation, but as soon as I was checked in, the nurse assigned to me helped to put my mind at ease, and along with the Endoscopist and his Clinician .. I was as relaxed as I could be throughout the procedure.
People are all to ready to moan and complain about the service given, but it seems that few are willing to give praise where it is due.
Therefore I would be grateful if you could pass my thanks on to all the members of staff that I have met in various departments during my visits to the Torbay Hospital in 2017, both myself and my Wife have no complaints whatsoever and can only sing their praises.
Wishing you all a peaceful and relaxing Christmas and New Year – and should either of us need your services throughout the coming years we will both feel very confident that we will be in very safe hands.
