"5 star care that cannot be beaten"

June 1st sent into A & E by my dentist because of an abscess in my neck. Attended to within minutes; ended up with 3 days in Max Fax. However, before being sent to a ward the lady doctor in A & E instructed me that upon discharge I should contact my doctor urgently as my haemoglobin was low. Having done so I was referred back to the hospital Colorectal department and starting on August 1st I've had 15 hospital appointments, four scans and a colon resection as cancer was discovered in my colon. The A & E doctor really saved my life. Additionally, the colorectal department has provided the most personal care and attention that could not be better anywhere. The result is that I now have 3 months chemotherapy with the oncology department who have already demonstrated a high level of personal care an attention. I am so glad to be living here where we can get the very best NHS care in the whole of England. Thank you Torbay Hospital.
