On Friday, 15th December, my husband was taken by ambulance to ~skegness hospital following a fall on Lumley Road.
To summarise briefly, he suffers from Parkinson's disease and is often very confused.
He fell on the pelican crossing outside the Hildred's and was helped by members of the public, who summoned an ambulance and stayed with him until the ambulance arrived.
On reaching the hospital, he was told that there was no x ray facility available, as it closed at 17.00 hrs;n
The time then was 16.50, as was recorded on the ambulance report.
He was told he must attend another hospital, but he refused to do this, having left his dog alone.
He was then sent home, unescorted and without any means of transport.
Please investigate this, as this is a dereliction of the duty of care required for a man obviously unable to function fully alone. He walked over a mile, and fell again on the way home, thankfully not being injured.
"poor treatment from a and e"
