"A&E/Lister ward"

About: Medway Maritime Hospital / Accident and emergency

On Friday mum had a fall and suffered a very severe concussion. The ambulance arrived in next to no time. The crew were professional, caring and helpful. Once they had assessed my mum they took her to A&E. There they quickly checked her over and was taken for a CT scan. Clearly they were over run and stretched. But everyone was great. They kept mum in over night on Lister ward. The people again were over stretched but totally amazing. The ward was warm and clean. The following day when we collected mum, she had been offered breakfast and lunch. The food was good, healthy with a little treat for a pud.The only slight down side was its a mixed ward and that a patient on the ward (through no fault of their own) kept screaming and kept the whole ward awake all night. I can not thank the people at Medway enough for how they cared for our mum. These teams clearly need more support.
