Our dad has been on ward 1 for the past couple of months and we can honestly say (apart from a couple of agency staff) ALL the staff no matter what their role are absolutely fantastic they are a really hard working and dedicated team , they have every service users care and wellbeing at heart in some difficult and demanding situations .Staff always have a smile, polite will always help you and have a kind word to support relatives. We have been kept up-to-date at all times regarding care plans etc and our opinions valued.
The ward is very daunting at first but get to know everybody- there are some lovely people remembering a quote from a poem "Do not ask me to remember don't ask me to understand let me rest and know you're with me kiss my cheek and hold my hand, I am sad ,sick and lost ,all I know is I need you to be with me at all cost"Dad is still on the ward - care is outstanding and we cannot thank staff enough.
