compelled to visit the service due to significant pain, large swollen area on back of neck, possibly a boil but certainly an infection. just returned from China 5 days ago at which point the infection started.
infection clearly not going away on its own, I am type 2 diabetic and need to be careful of situations such as this! currently jet lagged and unable to sleep due to pain and headache caused by the infection.
waited 3.5 hours to see the "doctor" and was treated with total disrespect, they looked extremely unhappy that i tried to explain the situation to them and wanted to rely totally on their own observations.
The doctor asked me if i had applied any ointment and i said Sudacrem to which they replied you mean nappy creme! in a very demeaning way.
I am jet lagged and not responding too quickly, the doctor asked me if i had taken pain killers to which i had to think for a moment and again they were very demeaning.
The doctor continued to say that there was nothing they could do for me, asked asked if they were sure as it was clear to me that the situation was going to be a problem for me and the doctor replied that I never had a temperature and so was not systemic and so was not prepared to issue antibiotics.
I feel that my situation was not given the seriousness or respect that it deserved! I do not visit doctors regularly in fact I have not visited a doctor in years and I have to be particularly unwell to do so, I am suffering severe headaches and considerable pain with lack of sleep, the doctor suggested i visit my GP to get sleeping tablets, I think this is ludicrous!
Totally unhappy!
"waited 3.5 hours then refused assistance"
