"The reception staff were very rude and made me..."

I visited spire Gerrards Cross to take my father as an nhs choose and book patient.

He was originally handed a form to complete by one receptionist who smiled and was pleasant on our arrival.

The in came another receptionist who snatched the clipboard from him and said in a loud voice ‘ he is nhs they don’t pay for their treatment’ it was very rude and unnecessary.

They then ignored us when I asked how long the wait was. It appears to be a two class treatment arrangement and the experience wasn’t very nice.

We are sorry to learn of this experience at our Reception.

It is true that we don’t require NHS-funded patients to complete any financial details and I am sorry that this was expressed inappropriately.

We hope that the rest of your experience was good and please contact us if there is any further concern on 01753 468 520.

Kind regards,

Spire Thames Valley Hospital
