"I wish to thank all the staff that I had contact at the Princess Royal Hospital"

On the evening 5th November 2010 I had reason to visit A&E at PRH

after a fall in my garden during the late afternoon. A fracture of the right fibula was detected and all the relevant procedures were applied during the course of the evening.

As I was attempting to hobble rather unsuccessfully into the building a nurse who was going home after duty dashed back in and brought a wheelchair for my use. She also gave my wife and I full instructions as to where we should go and who to report to. I wish to thank all the staff that I had contact with that evening, Reception/Triage/X-ray/Plaster Room, Porters, and especially the Practice Nurse who coordinated all the areas very efficiently. She gave one of the best medical explanations on the situation as it was and likely to be that I have ever had.

I was met with courtesy and good humour throughout the whole visit. On my way to the PRH I had thought that because of the date I had picked the wrong night for a visit but apart from the reason it turned out to be a pleasant eye opener.
