"Abundant help"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I started using alcohol as a bit of fun when I was a teenager for many years, and as my family got older it got more serious, so eventually I became alcohol dependant.

now I am seriously trying to stop with the help of inclusion visions, I find the help there is abundant and the understanding of all the staff right down to reception staff make me feel good about myself and not to be ashamed.

I always look forward to coming because it allows me to socialise with like minded people. and at the moment I really rely on visions and it is a big part of my life.

Hi there

Good to hear from you and thank you for sharing your story I am glad to hear you find the support "abundant" and have had a positive experience with all staff.

Sounds like you've worked hard to get to a place where you feel good about yourself and no longer ashamed. Great that you find coming in so helpful and remember your enthusiasm and commitment will be helping your peers too...

I wish you all the best with your ongoing recovery journey

Emer
