"Rude staff at Yorkhill Children's Hospital"

having a very young child admitted for an operation and a subsequently longer stay than expected i was horrified at certain nurses who persisted at sitting nearly all night long at the desk when in my opinion it was obvious that there were parents that required help and assistance. furthermore the same nurses had some of the worst attitudes and manners when they were approached or questioned.

For a proffession that is supposed to have staff emulating empathy and a caring attitude towards parents and in particular children i was left in utter disbelief at the behaviour of some of the staff. I would now not wish any of my children, nieces or nephews left in their care without an adult present to advocate for them.

To allow other patients and parents to be alerted to the fact that a child whose parents are doctors should recieve more optimum care is appalling. As is discussing other parents and members of staff in a derogatory manor.

There is a divisible difference in the quality of care and assistance from a select few of these nurses who would bend over backwards to help and assist the other select few spoil it.
