"Excellent care in day surgery pain unit"

As a long retired RGN I was totally impressed with the care and understanding given to me today in the Day surgery Unit for pain relief.

I was nervous and appreciated the approach of all the staff from the juniors to the consultant. They made an effort to come and talk to me and all worked as a team and could not do enough to reassure me and think of my comfort.

Despite all the negative things I read about the NHS if this department is anything to go by then the NHS has a great future.

We are pleased to hear you felt reassured both for your own treatment and the future of the NHS based on the care you received from the doctors and nurses looking after you and managing your pain.

It is good to know they worked so well as a team and talked you through everything to put you at ease and make you comfortable.
