"Excellent Care"

I just wanted to put on record the excellent care I received today at the Alexandra Hospital in the Cardio Alex Birch ward. All the staff were welcoming, friendly and reassuring and it was noticeable that they were a lovely, well-knit team.

It made the whole experience (a first-time cardioversion for poor heart rhythm) a lot less worrying than it might have been. At no time did I feel abandoned or ignored and the atmosphere on the ward was very pleasant, which I feel, filtered through to us patients.  

When there is such negativity about the NHS, it should be remembered that this first class care is still free and we, as patients, don't need to consider whether or not to have a treatment based on whether we can afford it or not.
