About: Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Accident & Emergency

(as a service user),

I was taken to QEUH twice in 24 hours, both times by police after I made suicidal threats. The first time I waited to see community psychiatric nurse for around 4 hours. When I finally did see the CPN I was grilled about my drinking habits and told I drank too much and should do see my GP. I made them aware that I had suffered a previous breakdown before and that this was not the first time I had recently made suicidal threats. No assistance was given and I was told to call my GP in the morning. No notes were passed on to my GP. I ended up back at the hospital later that day. The mental health team declined to see me.
