"Long wait"

About: Queen's Hospital / Accident & emergency

I went to ANE by ambulance as I come over very unwell, the place was crowded with people coming out of the room, when I asked the receptionist how long is the wait, I was told 3 hours, the waiting time went from 3 to 5, plus there have been people there waiting even longer for results for up to 8 hours. This hospital needs to improve there service and get more doctors in and be prepared for the large amount of people that are coming into the hospital, people were complaining getting restless, there was a lady with her 10 month old baby that had been waiting for 7 hours. People were being sick in the toilet constantly and the whole 5 hours I was there that toilet didn’t get cleaned once, plus all the staff was aware of the people being sick in the toilet. After my wait for 5 hours I didn’t get any tests and just sent home, I think the service really needs to improve it’s not acceptable that people want a service and we r not getting it, plus there was not one cleaner on site cleaning toilets ect, this should be important, they should think about hygiene because I’m sure about 10 people that had entered that toilet will become very unwell from the sickness bug and will end up back in ANE. This is something that hospitals want to avoid, it just doesn’t make sense there is no system in place and it seams very chaotic, I felt very sorry for the doctors and nurses they seamed overworked and exhausted it was just a overload of people and was very overwhelming. I hope that this hospital tries to improve there ANE service and not let it get any worse.
