"My Dad"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Emergency Department University Hospital Wishaw / Adult Critical Care Unit (ACCU)

(as a relative),

I'm dad was admitted to Monklands accident and emergency. He was taken to resuscitation department where the care he was given was second to none. I can't praise the staff involved enough. The nurse caring for him was called Magdalena and the doctor had a northern England accent.

My dad was then moved to the Intensive care room in ward 7.

Each and every staff member gave my dad the best care possible. He was in the last stage of his live and he got care beyond belief. These staff members also cared for our whole family and we can't thank them enough for there care and support.

I would like you to pass onto them our appreciation in the sad loss of our dad.

I feel there are too many negative comments made about the hospital and I just want to thank everyone who was involved.

Dear omegaft39

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dad, please accept my sincere condolences to you and your family..

Person centred care for both patients and families is what we strive to deliver every day and when a family are going through such a difficult time, it is so important that we get it right..As the Senior Nurse for the Emergency Department, I will ensure your kind comments are shared within the team and in particular with the staff you mention by name.

kind regards

Morag
