"Neurology cancelled appointment"

About: The Great Western Hospital / Neurology

My husband had an appointment midday wednesday ( dec ), 9 am the morning of the appointment had a phone call neurologist has phoned in sick( i understand everyone is sick, which cant be helped ) your appointment has been cancelled and the phone was put down, not giving a chance for any questions to be asked.

Friday new appointment arrives in the post for sept 2018, unbelievable that it is 18 months between appointments, come on GWH this is not acceptable

How can you treat patients like this, its so demoralising for my husband to have it in black and white that he has to wait this long for his next appointment, he has had tests, assessments, etc that would of been discussed at the cancelled appointment, he is deteriorating fast with no diagnosis given and you expect him to wait 9 months
