"My Recovery"

About: Inclusion Visions Thurrock (Drug & Alcohol Recovery Service)

(as a service user),

I have been in treatment for over ten years now on and off, I have been attending Inclusion for support, and I have now successfully come off of my prescription and I am doing well.

I feel that I have been treated well and have had great relationship with my key worker (mike) who has always been there to give me the support and encouragement I have needed.

I am now ready to get on with my life and I am looking at becoming a nurse/midwife and start my health and social care training in February 2018.

Hi there

What an inspiring story, it sounds like you have achieved so much and now have an exciting future ahead. It takes a lot of hard work to make the changes you have made. I'm very glad that your time with us has been of benefit and that you felt so supported by your keyworker.

I wish you the best of luck with your studies in February and whatever path that takes you down.

Thanks you for taking the time to share your story, maybe when you are studying you could come back to the service to share your story at a service user involvement meeting....

All the best

Emer
