"Pain Management Clinic"

About: Skegness & District General Hospital / Pain Management

(as the patient),

I was treated well and with respect. I left the consultation feeling confused and uncertain as to the outcome of the interview. I have hearing problems (tinnitus) and more often than not I do not always hear or misinterpret what is said to me. Coupled with this I was experiencing a great deal of pain and discomfort due to an arthritic condition and the sciatic problem had flared up and wasn't able to focus properly.

It was only after leaving did I realise and consider exactly what had transpired. Even as I write this letter I have misgivings as to whether I had been able to present a complete picture of myself and the problems I experience. I must add it was of no fault of any of the staff that I feel this way.

Dear Pedantic,

Thank you for getting in touch and providing some feedback following your appointment at Skegness Hospital.

I am pleased you felt you were treated with respect, but have also noted the other less positive comments you have made.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me, or one of the other nurses within the team on 01205 446612 if we can help you further in any way.

With best regards,

Tracey Potter,

Clinical Nurse Specialist - Pain Management
