"Rubbish doctor."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

What could be improved

I was the first patient of the day, my appointment was booked for 8:45 although the doctor only arrived/saw me at 9:15. How can they provide a good service if they are already late to see the first patient of the day?

I was see by the gastroenterologist, they were uncompassionate, had little knowledge of my condition, would not give me a straight answer when I asked if they had ever treated someone if this condition before (I asked several times, no avail). They hinted several times that the problem was in my head and that I was either making it up or I was crazy. They were unkind, they'd rather blame me for my condition than to admit their own ignorance.

Not knowing what to suggest for my symptoms, they kept insisting on me taking medications I have already tried in the past and did not improve my condition. They would not listen to my concerns. Not knowing what to do next, they kept insisting on doing another blood test even though I had one done less than two weeks prior the appointment with no remarkable results. I asked to be seen by someone who had more knowledge of this condition but they stood their ground and would not admit they had no idea on how to treat me.

Doctors like this should not be allow to see patients or even practice medicine. I felt very disappointed and frustrated after my appointment. I was in need of help, instead I got a cocky doctor with an inflated ego who did not know how to treat me.AppointmentsServiceBlood testDoctors
