Went in with my autistic daughter that had a nasty infection in her eye and I have been told off by the receptionist for coming to this walking centre since is "out of my catchment area", even though this is the nearest to my home.
As a paramedic that works for the NHS I've have never been aware of urgent care being selective of patients, I really would like to know if the receptionist had any basis to say that to me and I will investigat it. Either way the complain is regarding the way I was spoken to, there is absolutely no need to be hostile to a patient regardless.
As other people have mentioned the receptionist(s) on previews reviews, will the management act on the way that they are making services users feel after attending the clinic?
Something to think about.
I can't fault the nurse and doctor, excellent professionals, people that deliver excellent patient care and make me proud to work for the NHS.
"Awful grumpy recepcionist, doctor and nurse..."
