I had reduced movements and started to worry. From that initial phone call to triage a lovely reassuring midwife spoke to myself and my partner and suggested we come down for a check up. We were monitored straight away and baby was fine. That afternoon I was referred for a scan where it was recommended I was to be induced that night. Arriving that evening I was petrified but as soon as I walked into tangmere ward I was reassured and made to feel comfortable. It took a couple of goes with induction and then all of a sudden labour started and it was quick. My midwife was beyond amazing. The labour was going well but then a few complications towards the end. My midwife stayed past their shift and held my hand until my little boy was born. When handed over our other midwife was just as amazing along the medical team that dealt with my surgery afterwards and the further little mishaps over the next few days. All in all I can’t thank them all enough for getting me back on my feet and bringing my boy safely into the world. I will forever be greatful.
