"Waiting for hip replacement since 1990"

About: Dorset County Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

I have been diagnosed with hip arthritis since the late '90's in both hips and for the last 10 years have been shunted from pillar to post by the consultant's team as I have overeating disorder and a BMI of 42.

I was ready for a major confrontation in NY last visit but was given an appointment with the anesthetics consultant but on w fear I an back to square 1 and have to start on the list again. Very poor service, no one believed I had the reverse if anorexia an overeating disorder u have been treated unsimptheticly

Hello,

I am sorry to hear of the difficulties you have had in trying to get treatment for your arthritis. Unfortunately without further details, there is little I am able to do to investigate. If you like me to look into this more closely please do either ring me on 01305 254786 or email me at becky.Protopsaltis@dchft.nhs.uk and I would be happy to take some more details.

Best wishes,

Becky Protopsaltis
