I arrived on Saturday. I was scared terrified and worried.
I’m 24. and all you see from these places, is what’s on TV .
I was greeted by a loverly person. Who came in chatted to m. And put my mind at ease.
I was on half an observation which was good. I felt safe.
While in here I managed to self harm.
I burn myself prettty bad. But it was okay because they treated me amazing. I got transport to st James. Then someone stayed with me 6 and half hours.. I didn’t get treated right at st James so I had to go home to the LGI. A student nurse came with me who was loverly.
Any needs I needed met. They were on it straight away. I spoke to a ‘shrink’ who was amazing.
I loved my room. A big room with shelves and a sink. And a bed that doesn’t look like a hospital bed. And a chair too.
Visiting hours were flexible which I loved.
One night a member of staff came in and sat with me early hours of morning and calmed me down. At meal times a member of staff eats with us.
It’s quite. They tend to like you in ‘normal’ clothes not pjs.
Thank you to all the staff I really appreciate. From beeb so low they’ve lifted my spirites.
"Amazing"
