I was incarcerated in the Orchid Ward for two weeks a month go and I am still traumatised by the experience. The ward is run like a prison not a hospital. The staff are rude and surly. Patients were ignored and humiliated by staff.
The ethos of the place seemed to be to break the patients by denying them all of their human rights. I am just disgusted that this ‘hospital’ is allowed to remain open.
