I broke my ankle (distal fibula) 8 weeks ago at Greenway galmpton where i work. The ambulance came and both looked after me extremely well. I would like to thank them.
I arrived at A&E treated really well was there from 10.30am until 4pm they made myself and my work friend a cup of tea, had x-ray and told it was broken. I was put in a temporary plaster,. Went home. The plaster was uncomfortable and hurt my toes and foot so on two occasions in that week i rang the fracture department and even though they are extremely busy they said they would fit me in and they changed the plaster and on the second occasion they cut the tight part of the plaster away from my little toe. I cant fault the way they gave their time for me really nice friendly staff.
6 weeks later and i went in had the plaster cut off and sent home. I was really pleased with the service i was given.
Its now been 12 days since the plaster came off i still cant weight bear as my ankle is still swollen and painful also i wasnt sure if i was supposed to stop taking the rivaroxaban tablets i was given but i did anyway i hope this is normal. Thank you to all staff and departments involved for all your care. Thank you.
