My wife was transferred for treatment from the City Hospital to the circle for a gastric issue that has plagued her now for 4 years accompanied by severe diarrhea she can use the toilet up to 9 times a day. She was given a radioactive pill on 18/07/2017 a scan followed on the 25 /07/2017 this they believe found malabsorption issues .Another appointment was made with a recommendation for a drug to our surprise was not available on the NHS the pharmacist told us but we could have 108 of these tablets for £200.00 we were disgusted that having worked until medical issues altered our lives dramatically .that we would be at the mercy of a board of directors we learnt that a decision had been made before the given time that we could not have the drug on the NHS. We are looking for ways of complaining we tried PALS at City but were told that City could only look at complaints at the City Hospital and the QMC because the Circle is private riding on the back of the NHS. I find it disgusting that she started treatment in a service called the National Health Service to be transferred to a organisation whose long term objective profit.
"Misleading organisation"
