"Children's A&E"

About: Tameside General Hospital / Accident and emergency

I took my daughter to children's A&E at Tameside Hospital today because I suspected that she had broken her collar bone.

We were seen very quickly after check in by the triage nurse and the doctor about 10 minutes later and was taken through to X-Ray.

The waits at X-Ray and then back in A&E weren't too long and during that wait the nurse kept us informed of what they were doing and even sorted some toast and juice out for my daughter.

I heard the same nurse also approaching another lady in there who was a bit frustrated by the wait and I thought they were very helpful explaining what they were waiting for and approximately how long it would be.

Very efficient and patient focussed.
