I was in Southmead Hospital for five nights following a 'small bowel resection'.
At every stage of the process I felt as though I was being treated with sincere concern and complete respect.
The operation was a difficult one because the tumour to be removed was close to the fixed structure of the stomach, rather than among the slithery mass of guts further down, but it seems to have been peformed with complete success.
I was kept informed always about choices to be made, risks to be run, and so forth.
I can't thank my Consultants and their team enough.
I can't imagine that I would have received more conscientious, professional care anywhere in the world.
The aftercare was superb also: the nurses and doctors making their rounds were kind, careful, and fun to interact with, given the circumstances.
There seems to be a good spirit it in this workplace!
"Wonderfully thorough, humane care"
