About: Leverndale Hospital New Victoria Hospital (Glasgow) Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Glasgow / Maternity care (Wards 47, 48 & 50)

As an NHS member of staff, I am happy to be able to share such a positive journey in times of high criticism for our NHS.

From my first antenatal appointment at 9 weeks pregnant at the New Victoria Hospital , through labour at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and a short admission to the Mother and Baby Unit at Leverndale Hospital, to today, my daughter's 4 month Health Visitor review, I have encountered fantastic staff providing excellent services.

Every midwife, health visitor, nurse and doctor has shown a level of kindness, support and respect that deserves to be commended. It is their team working and timely intervention that have allowed me to be at home, safe and well with my partner and daughter, loving every minute of parenthood. I cannot thank maternity services enough.

Many congratulations on the birth of your daughter. We are delighted to hear that you are enjoying every minute of parenthood and that the efforts of our teams to support you throughout your pregnancy, during and after the birth have resulted in a safe and happy outcome for you and your family.
