"Why does nobody answer the phone at the main..."

About: Royal Hampshire County Hospital

It just rings endlessly. Not on just the odd occasion. Its been occurring over several years. If you can't sort the switchboard out, what chance does your other HiTec problems have.

I've had to resort to using this space to hopefully reach somebody so that I can inquire after an elderly relative who was admitted yesterday. Fat chance.

No excuses. There may be some good staff but God help the patients at the mercy of the others.

Thank you for your feedback. I would like to apologise that you are having difficulty with our switchboard. We are aware that there have been issues with people getting through and we have a comprehensive plan in place to improve this including a new software system.

Please contact our customer care team on 01256 486766, who will be happy to help with your enquiry regarding your relative.
