I was knocked off my bike by a car onto the oncoming traffic and fortunately wasn't badly injured or worse, killed. The Ambulance arrived at the scene within approx 20 mins. After the Paramedics looked after me lying in the road, they transferred me from there to their vehicle.
Most of my clothes had been cut away leaving me in just my shoes and underpants. There were 3 Paramedics. One Paramedic appeared to be training another Paramedical procedures. This Paramedic mentioned rather childishly that they were "Better than the Police" during one of their ramblings and on one occasion embarrassed me greatly pointing and asking what was tissue doing hanging out of my underpants.. I uttered that I had problem with my waterworks, upon me tucking the tissue back into my briefs the Paramedic said something on the lines of " Whoah the young Paramedic doesn't want to see that!"
I was asked by the Paramedic as to what happened (referring to the accident)and they began rudely doubting what I was stating. I can only greatly assume this Paramedic was 'showing off'in front of their young colleagues. It was highly embarrassing for me. As part of their silly so called training patter the Paramedic uttered that FOOOMA was a term in which if a Patient is found to be alright and not in danger that means something rude.
This Paramedic really ought to be getting on with their job and cut out all the rubbish they spouts. I happen to be a Trainer at the Airport and from what I found from my experience is that this Paramedic was not a Trainer at all but just liked to show off. Sad really. Overall on a good note the Team were really caring and Proffesional just like the Police Officer who was at the scene. The accident happened on Town Lane in Stanwell at the Junction of Viola Avenue time approx 3:15 pm on 06/12/17 heading towards the Bulldog traffic lights.
My recommendation is that the onr Paramedic needs retraining especially on their Customer/Patient communicating skills.
I highly respect all the Services.. Police, Fire Brigade and Ambulance Service and to have one person mentioned above lets everyone down.
Thank You from a very lucky Man
