"No ante natal offered until 36 weeks"

About: St Mary's Hospital / Maternity care

(as a relative),

My daughter who moved to Manchester last June with partner, has no contacts there. She was not offered ante natal care even at 36 weeks, I asked, otherwise I do not think it would have been offered it! However went into labour at 36 weeks. labour only 3 hours but was traumatised , only arrived at hospital with 10 mins to spare.

After birth , baby 5lb.Babys face not washed. My daughter was not offered anything to eat, did not have her face washed even. When I arrived ,she was not offered even a cup of tea and if I had not bought some drinks would not have had drinks. She slept the first night not realizing baby should have been fed during the night, the staff only told her off in the morning, where were they during the night? should they not have been supervising her? She got very little help.

Since being home she has an excellent community midwife so that helps.

I believe in this day and age the care is so poor, My friend is a farmer and I think she looks after her animals better than this.
