"Meeting my ray of sunshine"

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as a service user),

I walked into the office at the doctors feeling so low and defeated, then I was met by a ray of sunshine called Claire. She made me feel at ease, comfortable straight away. She put me at ease and over coming sessions I found I could talk all about my problems. I cried a few tears, but also laughed. She thought me how to change my way of thinking, so I could put away the bad thoughts which were so negative; it was so good when I put it all into action, and realised it actually works. It has taken some time, with illness in-between; it was a great feeling when I was my last session. I’m now mentally equipped to be able to handle future lows. I would advise any future patients to stick with it, it really does help, so glad I had the chance.

Dear giraffesb65. Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. It sounds as though you got a lot from your therapy, and have learnt new skills to challenge negative thinking. I will pass this on to Claire. Good luck with your continuing journey.
