"Longer stay for mothers after c-section"

About: Royal Oldham Hospital / Maternity

(as a service user),

I have been using the maternity services since 2003. In the past I have had a particular bad experience with the staff regarding the amount of care they take of the patients, I wasn’t very happy bout it. I hope services improve in taking care of the patients, especially the ones that are in labour ward and post-natal ward. I feel as though it would be better if the stay could be a bit longer so that mothers can heal properly or be in a stable condition before they go home.

I am not happy with the stay that the c-section ladies stay at now. I strongly feel as though they should be kept in hospital for a week at least, because if they go back home and they’ve got kids they’re on their feet and they’re back to square 1 with pain I strongly feel that.
