I am so very grateful for the staff at ward 30 who treated my 11 week old baby girl who has brought in by ambulance with bronchitis. She remained stable in the first 24hrs at hospital so ward care was all she needed. But quickly deteriorated over our night in hospital and was rushed into icu. I am so very grateful for one particular consultant for explaining everything that was happening and what the next steps where to unsure my daughter was treated properly. We were unsure if she was going to be moved to Manchester children's hospital as her breathing was so bad they wanted to put her on life support if oxygen was not working for her. I was kept in formed by this particular consultant of all the actions they were taking and even briefed with anethatist team who explained if it came to that what they were going to do. Luckily my daughter remained stable and was gradually getting better thought the intake of cpap. I would also like thank the lovely nurses and sisters who helped treat my daughter. One particular nurse who looked after her when we first got in to icu and was on one to one care with her. Their lovely kind hearted nature put us all at easy and sometimes if my partner wasn't there they were there to have a chat/cry to. They were also very professional with the care they gave to my daughter. And was there if I had any questions to ask. Also two other nurses who looked after her throughout the night and day on alternate shifts. Nothing was to much to ask of any of the staff on ward 30. Always a kind and smiling face from every staff members even the lovely cleaning staff who popped in now and again check on my daughter's progress.
Fantastic work from everyone.
We are all so very thankful
"5 stars for such caring nurses and consultants"
